Project Life Week 39

Just a quick PL share this week- it's a bit mad here with packing boxes everywhere!

I used the Seafoam Digital Core Kit this week with a digital stamp from Ali Edwards on one of the cards. The quote card is from Elise Blaha Cripe who is also the designer of Seafoam.

Here's the LHS.....

Here's the RHS.....

And here's the whole week.....

Next week's spread will be full of moving day photos!

LPS Day to Day Kit

Just a quick post today to show you another layout I've done with the LPS Day to Day Project Kit.  I've used Add-On 1 for this page, and you can see how this kit doesn't have to be used for Project Life style pages, although you can see that I was indeed inspired by the grid format of pocket pages.

I added some colour to the background with my Gelatos, but absolutely everything else came from the kit :-)

Tomorrow's Memories Project Pack | Basic Grey Knee Highs and Bow Ties

This week I received a new Project Pack from Tomorrow's Memories and was excited to see some papers from Basic Grey's Knee Highs and Bow Ties Collection.  I have most of this collection in my stash and it is perfect for little boys' pages.

These Project Packs are designed with the beginner/intermediate scrapper in mind, so you know you can pick up a pack and put the page together quickly and easily.  Everything you see on my page was in the pack apart from the mist that I dripped, the chipboard alphas and the Distress Ink (Mowed Lawn) that I used to colour the chipboard alphas and the bracket.

This was a super-fun pack to work with so get your quick from Tomorrow's Memories!

Project Life Week 38

It was birthday week for my youngest boy and I had more than a few quiet moments contemplating how quickly three years has passed and what an awesome little guy he's becoming.  So of course there were lots of photos on his birthday and that pretty much took care of the left side of my PL week.

I used the Midnight Digital Edition this week and it is still one of my favourites.  I also added a flair from Button It on Etsy.

Here is the LHS.....

Here is the RHS.....

And here is the entire week.....

As usual, you can click on the images for a better look :-)

Project Life Week 37

There are some new kits available at digitalprojectlife.com this week and I just despite it's pretty girly feel, I just couldn't resist grabbing the Dear Lizzy Polka Dot Party Mini Kit.

Don't let the words "Mini Kit" fool you- when you are working with digital product you can do so much with the cards that you have almost as many choices as with a full kit.  Instead of cutting up digital patterned papers, I just cut up sections of the journalling cards and filler cards to add interest to my photos.

Here is the LHS.....

Here's the RHS.....

 Here's the whole week.....

I added two little puffy stickers from Skipping 5 and the white envelope is a cut file from Silhouette America.

I think I managed to avoid these pages turning out too "girly" despite the use of pink, florals and hearts!

Layout Share | Studio Calico Atlantic Collection....Again ;-)

I had another photo from the day we took an impromptu drive to the beach and so naturally I reached for the Atlantic Collection from Studio Calico again.  I also utilised my Silhouette Cameo to cut the background and my title.  Gosh I am still amazed by what this machine can do, and how it cuts like a knife through butter every time, even when my blade and mat are probably overdue replacement!  I layered lots of bits and pieces including a folded piece from a white paper bag behind my photo and added a scattering of sequins instead of my usual ink splatters.  I dithered around with this layout for ages- the mojo just wasn't flowing- but I am really pleased with how it eventually turned out.

Layout Share | Studio Calico Atlantic

My love affair with the Atlantic Collection from Studio Calico continues and when I had these photos in front of me ready to scrap, choosing my supplies was a total no-brainer.  I kept this layout very simple, hoping for a crisp white "airy" page with just a few elements.

First, I  lightly spritzed some Mister Hueys over a stencil at the top of my page, then used the stencil to stamp the excess off down the bottom right corner.

I cut my title with my Cameo machine and then again from the vellum in the collection using the offset function.  I adhered the cardstock title to the vellum and then popped the lot up on foam dots so it would appear to "float" above the photos.

I printed my quote on patterned paper from the 6x6 pad, cut it into strips and stitched it down.

My only embellishment was a large brad in the top left corner.

I love these photos of my husband and two boys that were taken with my phone during an unplanned walk on the beach after an afternoon drive.  I really wanted to create a layout that made the photos the star and I think I did :-)

Project Life Week 36

Good morning everyone!  Week 36 was pretty routine for us with the only notable events being my eldest son's school Athletics Carnival and the Federal Election.  Australia starts this week with a new PM and we are all thankful that the campaigning is over with!

This week I used the Project Life Digital Kraft Core Edition which I absolutely love.  It's bold and cheeky with warm colour tones and great graphics.

Here's the LHS.....

I added a puffy sticker from Skipping 5 to the red striped filler card and layered it on a 1" punched kraft circle.

Here's the RHS.....

And here's the whole week.....

Thanks for checkin' in :-)

Layout Share | Studio Calico Darling Dear

It's the time of year when all the new releases in the papercraft world are hitting the shelves, but today I pulled out something a bit older for this page about my youngest boy's Christmas Photo shoot at our weekly Craft Group.  One of the ladies at Craft kindly took photos of all the kids that attend the creche in front of a lovely Nativity Scene.  I snapped these shots with my point-and-shoot camera just after he got into his costume.  Isn't he adorable?

I pulled out the Darling Dear Collection from Studio Calico.  I love Christmas Collections that aren't obviously "Christmas-y" because I like to use them for all kinds of layouts, not just Christmas ones.  Dark blues and teals, rusty reds and bursts of bright green  with subtly bold geometric designs make this a really versatile collection.

I used some really old Heidi Swapp foam alpha stamps with some Mister Huey's Mist for my Title and I also coloured the wood veneer stars with mist.

Thanks for stopping by!

Project Life Week 35

It's Monday again already and I have another Project Life spread to share.  This week I used the Jade Digital Core Edition.

It was Father's Day on Sunday so I added a card made from this digital printable freebie from One Charming Party and put it alongside a card featuring photos I pinched from my husband's Facebook pics.  He spent the day exploring Tianjin and posted a photo of his lunch choices- some dried fish or McDonald's.  He was perplexed by the appearance of a black bun on the Maccas menu!

I added one embellishment this week- a super-cute camera puffy sticker from Skipping5.

Here's the left side.....

Here is the right.....

Here is the whole week.....

And here is that sweet little Skipping 5 puffy sticker.

Thanks for stopping by :-)
